As fall weather settles in, I want to make sure we don’t move on too quickly from all of the stunning wedding days this summer brought with it. Summer weddings in Minnesota are hard to beat, especially when the day takes place somewhere as beautiful as Wayzata Country Club.

I’ve been excited to share Maggie & Tyler’s day from Wayzata Country Club! The green grounds created a classic backdrop for , while the personal details throughout the celebration made it uniquely their own. As a Minnesota wedding photographer, I always love documenting the little touches alongside the bigger moments. They’re often the details that bring you right back to how the entire day looked and felt. Something that is so fun about being a Minnesota wedding photographer is the variety of backdrops for beautiful days. Whether you want a chic city wedding, something in the woods up north, or a timeless summer lakefront day, Minnesota truly has something for everyone!

Wayzata Country Club made a beautiful backdrop for the entire celebration, from portraits around the grounds to all of the little details waiting for guests inside. Maggie and Tyler created a day that felt polished and timeless while still incorporating sweet and unique pieces of their life together throughout.

Thoughtful Details

Their day was filled with classic summer details and thoughtful personal touches that made the celebration distinctly theirs. First and foremost, Maggie designed their invitation suite- which as you can see was classic, timeless, and simply gorgeous. There is nothing like a beautiful invitation to set the scene before the big day. One of my favorites was a needlepoint Maggie made of their dog, whose name, Bogey, even fit the wedding locale! This sweet detail was especially personal tucked into such an elegant day… and a keepsake for years to come. In a perfectly fitting nod to their country club setting, tiny golf flags celebrating them topped their drinks. Also… can we talk about the dress? The bow? So classically stunning!
