I'm Olivia
I was never the most creative and didn’t take even one art class after middle school. I did have this strange need to photograph and document almost every event in my life though. It’s no surprise that by the time I finished high school that I’d gone through twelve (yes, 12) digital cameras and literal dozens of SD cards.
Around sixteen, something started to click as I applied to and eventually attended my first year of college at Columbia College Chicago, majoring in photography. I spent breaks and weekends taking photos of my friends, pets and strangers.
And even though I didn’t stay at Columbia and major in Photography, that semester of courses gave me the foundation that I needed to launch my photography career.
Growing up I was confident I’d be a lawyer, chef, or even an FBI Agent.
