Kayla & Scott are engaged! Being part of their surprise proposal photoshoot was so special to me. I’ve been friends with this couple for years. I am so happy for them!

I have to be honest, I’ve been waiting for Scott to give me a call and let me know that he was planning to propose for a while. These two were such a major part of my college experience. I have so many positive memories with the both of them to look back on! Of course, when Scott called me mid-summer and let me know it was time to get something in the works, I was ELATED! Due to some scheduling difficulties on my end (peak wedding season), I wasn’t sure that I would be able to capture this for them. However, everything worked out!

Planning a surprise proposal photoshoot can be difficult. You want to plan and prepare as much as possible without your partner knowing. It’s also difficult sometimes to stick to the plan when nerves kick in! However, Scott nailed it, even under pressure, and I love how the images turned out.
