I had the joy of shooting an engagement session at Como Conservatory in Saint Paul, one of the most stunning spots in the Twin Cities. The conservatory’s lush greenery and vibrant flowers made the perfect backdrop for Sarah and Thomas. The Conservatory is an incredible place for a session because there are so many different backdrops and vibes throughout- all of which are stunning!

Sarah and Thomas were clearly in love from the moment we met. The conservatory’s peaceful environment allowed them to relax and be themselves, which made for some incredibly tender moments between the couple. I love capturing these quiet and sweet moments- it is part of what makes this job so meaningful. We explored different parts of the conservatory, capturing the couple’s love against a variety of beautiful backdrops. The whole session felt effortless and natural, with the gardens providing the perfect setting for their story.

Of course, I was thrilled when they asked if their adorable dog Zoey could be included. If you know me, you know I adore dogs. I will always say yes to including pups in our sessions! Full of energy and curiosity (and a model like quality) she quickly became the star of the session. Her playful nature brought a fun dynamic to the day, and it was clear how much she was loved by her humans.

The sweetest moment came when Sarah and Thomas knelt down to cuddle Zoey, showing just how much love they all share. It was clear that Zoey wasn’t just a pet—she was family. I absolutely LOVE including dogs in photo sessions and this of course was no exception. Capturing the love between Sarah, Thomas, and Zoey was such a privilege. Their engagement session at Como Conservatory was a beautiful reminder that love isn’t just between two people—it’s about everything that makes you feel complete. I’m so excited for what’s ahead for this wonderful couple and their adorable pup!
