Ashley and Wendel are engaged! I’m so excited to share their beautiful winter Madison WI engagement photos today.
I’ve been lucky enough to know these two for what seems like forever. Wendel and I went to the same preschool and remained friends throughout all of our years of schooling. Ashley came into my life somewhere around the high school time, and I was so excited when Wendel told me that they were dating! I knew that if they were dating it was very serious and big step for both of them. After being stationed in Saudi Arabia for a few years, Wendel popped the question to Ashley on a vacation to Egypt. He proposed right in front of the pyramids – hello, what a dream!
Because Wendel was abroad and Ashley was living in my hometown, scheduling their engagement photos became kind of tricky. After months of back and forth, and a COVID postponement, we finally met last week for their engagement photos at the capital. I thought that the beautiful white capitol would be a great contrast to their wedding day coming up in June. These two were so fun to photograph as they are both so playful and sassy with eachother.
After knowing both of them for so long, seeing them together in person was like opening a whole new world! Ashley asked me “Do you ever see couples together and think they won’t last?” and while I generally try not to think about those things, I knew that these two are meant to be. I can’t wait for their upcoming wedding at Evergreen Golf Course come June! I know it will be so beautiful. In the meantime, enjoy some highlights from their Madison, WI engagement photos below.
