There is no shortage of beautiful engagement session locations in Minnesota, but Wayzata continues to be one of my favorites. With stunning Lake Minnetonka views, charming lakeside pathways, and beautiful sunsets, it’s the perfect backdrop for couples who want timeless and romantic engagement photos.

Camryn and Smail’s engagement session was the definition of a perfect Minnesota evening. We spent the night exploring the waterfront in Wayzata, taking advantage of the warm golden light and peaceful lakeside scenery. From quiet moments on the docks to strolling along the shoreline, every part of their session was a joy.

One of my favorite things about these two was how comfortable they were together. They spent the evening laughing, talking, and simply enjoying each other’s company. Those genuine interactions are what create the most meaningful photographs. Rather than focusing on stiff poses, we embraced movement and connection, allowing their personalities and relationship to shine through in every image.
