Zoe’s first birthday photo session was one of those sessions that reminds me why documenting milestones is so meaningful. From the moment we started, everything about the day felt just right—especially the beautiful sunshine that seemed to show up just for her! The warm, golden light added such a joyful, airy feel to the session and perfectly matched Zoe’s bright, happy personality. The sunshine felt especially fitting for the session, like a celebration of growth, warmth, and all the joy packed into that very first year.

While milestone sessions are often focused on the child- it’s not just about capturing their sweet smiles and bright personalities. It’s also about capturing the family as a whole and celebrating where they are at this moment in time. Throughout this session the love shared between them was so clear- it would be impossible to miss it in the photos! We were even able to sneak in a few couples shots near the end- it is always fun to find a moment to celebrate the love that was built and shared before the family grew!
