February is historically one of the coldest months of the year in Minnesota. Something that gets me through these winter months is dreaming of weddings coming in the upcoming season, and reminiscing about weddings past! Today, I couldn’t stop thinking about Mary and Patrick’s fall wedding at Lafayette Club. It was a day filled with joy and the warmth of their love… not to mention the October sun that shone on their day!
Mary and Patrick did a beautiful job encapsulating the transitional nature of early October with their playful color palette. The orange reminds me of the vibrant fall colors in Minnesota, while the playful pastels remind me of the flowers that abound here in the summer. Look at their stunning florals- they brought such warmth and playfulness to their already beautiful table scapes. I could stare at them all day!
Something I love is when a couple infuses parts of their personality and their life into their wedding day. The details at this wedding were so fun- shooting them was a delight! From the table assignments featuring iconic New York City locations, to the signature drink name after their adorable dog, they truly thought of everything. These details made an already special day simply magical!
As we head into a new, cold winter month, it is important to find the warm spots. Looking back on the love and joy of Mary and Patrick’s wedding was certainly one of mine today- I hope it’s one of yours too!
