On frigidly cold days like today, I love to look back on photos from earlier in the winter season to reminisce and find warmth, so I’m excited to share some images from Meghan and Ben’s beautiful wedding at the Golden Valley Country Club from late last year. There’s something so beautiful about the light in the winter, and the love these two have for each other kept us warm and focused on the moment despite the bit of snow flurries that blew through on their wedding day!

How stunning is this rich color palette for their pre-holiday wedding? I love the deep jewel tones for the season, and faux fur wraps are perfect for keeping cozy for the outdoor photos. Because it was so worth braving the chill outside to capture these images with Meghan and Ben as well as their bridal party—we all had so much fun taking photos and surrounding the happy couple with all the love.

I’m always excited when a couple decides to do a first look before their ceremony. It gives them some time together before they say their vows, and it gives us some extra time to take some photos without needing to rush to the waiting guests at the reception. I also have a soft spot for father–daughter first looks, so I had to include a couple of those pictures here. From these intimate moments to the gathering of loved ones during the ceremony to the joy of a reception, these are the images that will be looked back on for years to come, and I feel grateful each and every day that I have the opportunity to suspend these moments in time for my clients.
