Walker Art Center Wedding

What a dream of a venue the Walker Art Center is, and what a dream of a day this beautiful early-summer wedding was. One of my favorite parts of being a wedding photographer is the chance to experience so many different venues around the Twin Cities. The Walker Art Center is already a gem in Minneapolis, known for its modern art and sleek design. But when it becomes the backdrop for a wedding, it’s something else entirely, lending an environment that’s both sophisticated and striking. We were graced with a gorgeous day. The sun was shining, and everything was bathed in a warm, golden light that made the day feel magical. I have a special place in my heart for the rooftop photos we took with the city spread out in the distance.

Since the moment I met this couple, their love for each other was palpable, and I feel lucky to have been able to capture that love. From the excitement of getting ready to the heartfelt first look, their anticipation was contagious, and I was swept up in each and every moment with them. The ceremony and reception were equally breathtaking, and I’ll always feel blessed to be in the room while vows are exchanged and friends and family come together to celebrate two people who love each other.

The day was full of special touches, including some family flying in from overseas, but what I loved the most was how they chose to have their children as their bridal party. It was heartwarming to see the love everyone had for each other and how happy the kids were for their parents. I can’t count the number of times I had tears in my eyes throughout the day—this was truly a celebration of two people who belong together.
